this morning i wake up and look in the mirror only to find that another breakout decided to pop up overnight and no matter how many different remedies i attempt nothing will help except time. just another of the joys of being a teenager i guess. however every time it happens my self-esteem takes a nose dive as i go from my skin issues to my weight and then to my hair, it’s like a never-ending string of self abuse which makes me rather depressed (not in a suicidal way). so I’ve decided that i’m going to start drinking at least a liter of water a day because apparently it’s good for your skin…  i am also going to stop buying crap from the shops/ school canteen so not only will i save money which i can put towards uni next year but i will become healthier as well (added bonus!). right now i am a member at cityfitness but so far i have only been managing to go once or twice a week so i’m making it that i must go a minimum of 3 times a week although 4 would be preferable! so non-existent people reading this blog, Alexandra Carruthers is going to get healthy!!!!! i also need to focus more on school since universities and halls of residence accept you on the results of this years internal and external exams! and so it begins. so you non-existent people may be thinking non-existent thoughts such as where i want to go and what i want to do this year? (at least in my head you do!) well i am applying to both massey university in Wellington and Otago university in Dunedin and i am hoping to do a BA major in communication with minors in english, writing and sociology. yes it all sounds confusing and complicated but it makes perfect sense to me which i guess is the main thing. so i suppose even if i don’t have great self-confidence, at least i know what i want to do with my life (journalism/PR management) although eventually way, way in the future i want to own my own event planning company which i think i would be great at and you all my new non-existent friends agree with me :)
